The intensive strength formula contains 10% Coal Tar Solution USP (equivalent to 2% coal tar). The Ointment base is designed to retain the skin's natural moisture and enhance the penetration and therapeutic effectiveness of the active ingredient. Due to the degree of moisture retention with this ointment base, no other moisture barriers such as plastic wraps are necessary. Helps prevent the recurrence of psoriasis symptoms. Not for use on the scalp; may be very difficult to remove from the hair, and not recommended for use on the face.
